The 150w solar panel: was purchased in 2016 from Phototronic Universe. They enable us to be much more independant of marinas and quaysides and more able to make use of the many beautiful and less commercial moorings available in the region.

The panel 150w panel is fitted to the top of the Bimini with rotater clips (See above left). Two trailing cables are fed from the panel, through the Bimini and down the startboard backstay. They are plugged into two sockets attached to the backstay in the cockpit. This establishes the connection between the panel and the batteries via the control unit (See above right) which is located in the rear cabin.

Solar Panel Charge Regulator: The control unit is a Western Co WRM-15 MPPT Charge Regulator.

The 2 x 175w Solar Panels: were fitted for the start of 2022. They are fitted to a gantry connected to the pushpit at the stern of the boat. The original panel wasnt big enough to maintain the degree of independence that we sought on our journeys. (More information about these will be added when we receive it.)
